Awakened to Believe
Sunday Oct 19, 2025
Sunday Oct 19, 2025
Speaker: Justin Allred
Unbelief Is the Root of Spiritual Blindness
1. The confusion of Jesus’ audience wasn’t intellectual but spiritual. Their inability to understand His words stemmed from unbelief, not lack of knowledge. Faith—not intellect—is what opens the eyes to God’s truth. Jesus Draws a Clear Divide: “From Above” vs. “From Below”
2. Jesus contrasts heavenly and earthly origins, showing that those aligned with the world remain in darkness, while those who believe in Him are brought into God’s light and life. “I Am He” — Jesus’ Claim to Deity
3. When Jesus says “I am he,” He identifies Himself with the divine name revealed in Exodus 3:14. This is a direct declaration of His divinity, affirming that He is God incarnate, not merely a teacher or prophet. The Cross as Both Death and Exaltation
4. Jesus’ statement about being “lifted up” refers to His crucifixion, which paradoxically becomes the moment of His glory. The cross reveals God’s justice, love, and redemptive plan—turning an instrument of shame into the ultimate display of divine victory. Belief Leads to Life; Unbelief Leads to Death
5. The sermon concludes with a call to personal decision: those who reject Christ “die in their sins,” while those who believe gain eternal life. True faith transforms understanding, awakens the heart, and brings reconciliation with God through the power of the cross.

Jesus Is the Divine Light Who Reveals and Rescues
1. Jesus’ declaration is not metaphorical poetry but a divine claim — He is God incarnate, the eternal “I AM” who brings spiritual illumination, truth, and life to a dark world. God’s Light Has Always Guided His People
2. Just as God led Israel by a pillar of cloud and fire in the wilderness, Jesus continues that same divine guidance — leading humanity out of bondage to sin and into freedom and fellowship with God. Darkness Represents Life Without Christ
3. Darkness symbolizes sin, self-reliance, and separation from God. People naturally cling to it because it conceals sin and preserves pride, but it ultimately enslaves and destroys. Walking in the Light Means Following Christ Daily
4. To “walk in the light” is to live under Jesus’ lordship — guided by Scripture, repentance, and faith. It means allowing His truth to expose sin and transform one’s character and choices. The Call to Repentance and Transformation
5. The sermon ends with an invitation to turn from sin, trust Jesus, and follow Him. Those who do will no longer walk in darkness but will experience the freedom, direction, and life that only Christ’s light can give.

John 8, The Women Caught in Adultery
Sunday Oct 05, 2025
Sunday Oct 05, 2025
October 5, 2025
Speaker: Pastor Kaynenn
1. The Passage’s Authenticity Reflects God’s Character, Not Just Textual History – Though the story of the woman caught in adultery isn’t in the earliest manuscripts, it aligns perfectly with Jesus’ character and teachings—showing His mercy, justice, and authority.
2. Reclaiming Mornings for God – Jesus teaching at dawn highlights the importance of beginning each day with spiritual focus. Believers are encouraged to make early time with God a priority, grounding their day in His Word and presence.
3. Hidden vs. Visible Sin Exposed – The Pharisees’ hypocrisy in condemning the woman reveals that sin is not only public acts but also private pride and self-righteousness. The law condemns all equally—both visible and hidden sin.
4. Jesus’ Authority to Forgive – Jesus alone has divine authority to forgive sins because He is God incarnate who bore humanity’s punishment on the cross. His mercy flows from His identity as Savior, not from ignoring sin.
5. Mercy That Transforms, Not Excuses – Jesus’ final words, “Go and sin no more,” show that true forgiveness calls for repentance and transformation. Grace is not a license to continue in sin but an invitation to live changed by God’s mercy.

No One Ever Spoke Like This Man

Speaker: Pastor Kaynenn
1. Don’t judge Jesus by appearances or assumptions – Many dismiss Him based on cultural biases or preconceived ideas, but true understanding comes from hearing His words directly.
2. Jesus’ words carry divine authority – Unlike any other teacher, He speaks with self-derived authority that convicts, divides, and demands a response.
3. The power of His word is undeniable – Even His opponents, like the temple police, were stopped in their tracks by the force of His teaching.
4. Jesus’ authority is inseparable from His grace – His words both confront sin and offer forgiveness, as seen in His encounters with Nicodemus and the Samaritan woman.
5. His mission is complete in the cross – With “It is finished,” Jesus accomplishes salvation, offering reconciliation with God to all who repent and believe.

Obey your Thirst
Sunday Sep 21, 2025
Sunday Sep 21, 2025
September 21, 2025
Speaker Rev Curtis Anderson
1. Jesus is the only true source of living water – all other pursuits (success, relationships, approval, pleasure) are broken wells that leave us empty, but He alone satisfies the deepest thirst of the soul.
2. Spiritual thirst is universal and urgent – we are created for God, and misplaced worship leads to spiritual dehydration; rituals and traditions cannot replace a genuine relationship with Jesus.
3. Following Jesus is costly but life-giving – the Christian journey is a narrow, difficult path that involves suffering, testing, and perseverance, but also leads to true life, transformation, and peace.
4. The Holy Spirit empowers and overflows – belief in Jesus results not only in personal renewal but in becoming a source of life and blessing for others, as the Spirit produces love, patience, kindness, and power.
5. The invitation is urgent and personal – every person must choose how to respond to Jesus’ call; now is the time to surrender idols, brokenness, and struggles, and to drink deeply of His grace and restoration.

You Thought you Knew

September 14, 2025
Speaker: Pastor Kaynenn
1. Superficial knowledge is not saving faith – Knowing facts about Jesus or His background is not the same as truly knowing Him in a transformative, relational way.
2. Religious pride and self-interest can blind hearts – The religious leaders rejected Jesus not out of ignorance but because He threatened their power, exposed their sin, and challenged their comfort.
3. True knowledge of Jesus is proven by obedience – Professing “Lord, Lord” is empty without doing the Father’s will; genuine faith leads to submission and transformation.
4. The urgency of response – Jesus warns that a time will come when those who reject Him will seek Him in vain, showing the importance of repenting and believing now.
5. Jesus is the only way to the Father – Eternal life and true relationship with God are found exclusively through wholehearted trust and surrender to Jesus.

Sunday Aug 31, 2025
August 31, 2025
Speaker: Pastor Kaynenn
- God has divinely placed each person in East Fort Worth to draw near to Him and to help others draw closer to Jesus.
- The gospel must remain central—it alone addresses the root issue of sin and idolatry, beyond what social reforms can achieve.
- Idolatry, defined as misplaced love or priorities above God, is the root cause of personal and societal brokenness.
- Believers must make a decisive choice to serve God rather than cultural idols, echoing Joshua’s challenge.
- Christians are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation, pursuing justice, kindness, and humility with the gospel at the center of community life.

ALL IN Part IV - ALL IN on Generosity
Sunday Aug 24, 2025
Sunday Aug 24, 2025
Aug 24, 2025
Speaker: Pastor Kaynenn
-
Generosity reflects God’s grace—it goes beyond finances to include time, talents, and treasures, all of which must be actively stewarded for God’s glory and the good of others.
-
Time is the most valuable resource—it cannot be replenished, so believers are called to prioritize and invest it intentionally in what matters eternally.
-
Discover and use your gifts—spiritual gifts are entrusted by God and should not go unused; through prayer and community, believers can identify and apply their unique abilities in kingdom work.
-
Motives matter in generosity—acts of giving should be cheerful, intentional, and motivated by love, not selfish ambition or desire for recognition.
-
Generosity produces lasting fruit—it builds community, fosters thanksgiving to God, enriches spiritual life, and reflects the sacrificial love of Christ.
